Marathon Community Yard Sale
By 2:30pm most tables had nearly sold out including the table that Melissa Billing (Pictured above) helped with for her Mom.
Marathon’s Giant Community Yard Sale, was held yesterday, May 1st. The Annual event, held at the Marathon Recreation Complex Arena, is a great reason to start Spring Cleaning. One woman, who started with 3 tables filled with items and was packing up into just one rubbermaid container at closing time, had this to say “It’s great, I would never hold another yard sale at my home again! Here the whole town comes through, you don’t need to advertise, it’s perfect!”.
Township of Marathon has been holding its community yard sale annually for approximately a decade, first tables were provided free with additional tables fees at just $5 it is no wonder they had such great participation from residents!
