Ladies’ Night
Ladies’ Night at Manitouwadge Best Start Hub
by Karina Hunter
The Manitouwadge Best Start Hub held its monthly Ladies’ Night Out last Wednesday (April 28th) welcoming women to a casual social evening filled with plenty of laughs, snacks refreshments and friends.
Linda Jetté, Program Assistant for the Hub, brought supplies for a game which most participants had never heard of, much less ever conceived playing. The ladies were equipped with mittens to wear as each had a turn at attempting to open a very securely wrapped gift. Linda had been quite generous with the packing tape when wrapping the prizes which had the women struggling with their very cumbersome, gloved, hands – laughs seemed proportionate to the frustration they felt and before long the entire room was in stitches!
This month on Wednesday, May 19th, the Hub once again invites women to drop in from 7pm – 9pm for Ladies’ Night. Hub Program Coordinator Kelly Sagle reminds everyone that the evening is not just for Moms of young children; everyone is welcome to join them for friendship, laughter and smiles as they get together for a relaxing night out whether you have children or not the only pre-requisite is that you be an adult woman.
