THE MBA DECLARES MANITOUWADGE “OPEN FOR BUSINESS!”
It’s official…your Manitouwadge Business Association is firing up the Trade
Show! For the sake of integrity and continuity, it will be held every other year on the 3rd weekend of September, starting this Fall (Sept. 17/18). Let the tradition begin! Exhibitor packets will be ready June 15 at the EDO, or you may request your copy now from Trade Show Organizers who will see you receive it on the 15th:
- Mary Belmore,
- Syd Foss,
- Margaret Hartling,
- Karina Hunter,
- Jim Moffat,
- Karen Robinson,
- Maggie Schut.
Perhaps you do not see any direct benefit to your business being involved with the MBA…ponder the benefit to your town. When MBA members are aware of your business, it is referred and patronized, thus keeping much needed dollars here. Consider a “Supporter” membership if you wish to endorse our efforts without direct involvement. From sole proprietor to international conglomerate, each business operating in or from Manitouwadge should feel obligated to and responsible for the future of Manitouwadge and its citizens. It is the purpose of the MBA to uphold this determination through networking referrals, and cooperation. In June, the Executive will be in place, the membership rates set, a Purpose Statement issued, and bank account opened. Onward!
SHOWCASE:
CHERYL’S SPA SERVICES, Owner: Cheryl Klause
We “ladies of a certain age” (moi, for instance) just can not see as well as we used to! At least, not up close. Glasses on, glasses off, tip them up, push them down, all the while manoeuvring clippers, files and the polish du jour. Heck, that’s just our fingers! As for toes, suffice it to say there’s a mid-life bulge playing a leading role at my house…and that story is for another day!
Enter Cheryl Klause and her Spa Services operating from Shear Talent at 56 Huron Walk. This lady has an eclectic business background in culinary arts. A papered chef with West Coast talent, a former Thunder Bay restauranteur (the Aurora Grill), her focus on detail and flare for style naturally flows into her esthetic “kitchen” within the salon.
Within a meticulously clean and fresh atmosphere, Cheryl offers manicures, pedicures, facials and waxing to the ladies and gentlemen of Manitouwadge.
Cheryl’s signature dish “Queen for a Day” is a customized package with gourmet lunch; two gals could share! Evening and strictly confidential appointments may be arranged, especially for men’s foot care and grooming. All bookings are through the salon: 826-3548.
Blend a dash of relax, a splash of serenity, and just a hint of gregarious worldly conversation and you are done to perfection…looking good and feeling great!
