Ontario Medal For Young Volunteers

Twelve youth will receive Ontario’s highest honour for young people, the Ontario Medal for Young Volunteers, for their community contributions, national and international.This year’s recipients include tutors for at-risk youth, advocates for accessibility and education, mentors and pioneers of local and international initiatives.
The recipients, between the ages of 15 and 24, are resolving local and global problems with innovative actions. Their efforts empower other youth and all Ontarians to make a difference through volunteerism.
The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will award the medals at a ceremony at Queen’s Park on Monday, April 19, to mark National Volunteer Week.
