The teenagers in Dubreuilville have a new place to hangout lately. Local teens had long been dreaming of a place to call their own and thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers, 2010 saw that dream come to fruition as Cha Gang! finally opened.
Dubreuilville Town Council has agreed to providing use of a vacant unit, free of charge, for a one year trial period, a $15,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation was used to purchase furniture and equipment.
“Cha Gang” Mission
The main objective of this centre is to offer an environment to compliment school and family life where the young adults can gather to talk, have fun, make new friends and build new bonds. This initiative strives interest kids, 12 to 18 years of age, in becoming more involved in their community while encouraging them to organize activities and hobbies which they enjoy and which will improve their quality of life.
Rules of the Centre
Among the activities teens are enjoying at Cha Gang!; playing games, watching television, using the internet and/or hosting special events nights. A very short but strictly adhered to set of rules ensures the centre will be a
place for all to enjoy for many years to come. Rules at Cha Gang! are as follows:

§ No roughhousing
§ No bullying
§ No vulgar language
§ Respect equipment/premises
§ Respect employees and volunteers
§ Respect your peers
§ Cha Gang ! is a peanut/seafood free premises
