Artist shares his gift

Watercolour Demonstration with Douglas Hunt

April 13th, Schreiber art enthusiasts and painters visited the Schreiber Public Library for an educational evening with artist Douglas Hunt.

Hunt demonstrated tricks and shared tips for painting with watercolours; participants benefited from the opportunity to have this renowed artist on hand to critique their techniques and advise them as they painted.

Douglas Hunt came to Canada from England in the mid 1950’s.  Since that time he has lived in Ontario and traveling extensively across Canada; this has been a major influence on his artwork. In 2007 he moved to Schreiber, Ontario to paint what he describes as “The awesome scenery along the north shore of Lake Superior” this has been his focus for several years.  Hunt also paints portraits and various other subject matter.

In addition to his original canvases, Hunt’s work can also be purchased as prints and in books.
