“This award is a great accomplishment for the store. It shows what a great customer service team we have here as well as the support w get from Marathon and the regional communities. We look forward to continuing to serve our customers in a first class fashion,” states store owner/operator, and Marathon EDC Board Member Jamie Senese.
The Marathon Canadian Tire store opened in 1996, and is a strong supporter of local youth and children’s activities as well as local economic development.
Canadian Tire Store was recently awarded a national award during Canadian Tire Corporation’s (CTC) recent Breakaway Challenge Contest. CTC Senior Staff were in Marathon on January 26th to present store owner Jamie Senese and his staff with the ward for winning their conference (stores 20,000 square feet and under). The Marathon store also placed second overall in Canada amongst stores of all sizes for the customer service component. Scores were based on a ranking system that included sales and customer service. Winning their conference meant that the Marathon store received a championship trophy, a Breakaway Challenge hockey jersey signed by CTC’s CEO, President and Senior Vice-President, a trip for two to Nassau, Bahamas and $1,000 spending money for one staff member, and use of a Canadian Tire classic car for nine months.
