Once again this year MPS students and staff are concerned about the well-being of those in our community who are not so fortunate as others and from time to time require the assistance of our local food bank.
Our school has always been a supporter of this worthwhile group and have often run food drives throughout the school year. We have asked parents/visitors to our annual evening Christmas program and other events throughout the year to bring items of non-perishable food as admission to the event. At least once throughout the year we also run a food marathon as competition between the classrooms.
Pictured here are some students from the grade 4 / 5 classroom who are sorting and getting the food ready to be delivered to the bank. Once again – good job everyone!
