Shopping @ Franks
Local charity may receive $10,000
by Karina Hunter
Once again, local grocer FP Gorges & Sons, known to most locals as Frank’s Grocery Store, is collaborating with their supplier Family Foods to offer customers an incredible contest. From January 17th to February 6th fill out an entry form, attach 3 UPC symbols from participating brands and deposit in the ballet box at FP Gorges and Sons for your chance to win. Up for grabs to five lucky locals: one of five in store prizes of $100 cash, not bad for a free draw! PLUS all qualifying entries will also be entered for the Grand Prize, to be drawn March 4th (maybe being the day before my birthday will be good luck?) in Calgary, Alberta, of Ten Thousand Dollars Cash ($10,000) PLUS a matching Ten Thousand Dollars check ($10,000) will be donated to a charitable organization in OUR community should someone from Manitouwadge win!! That’s $20,000 that you could win without ever spending a dime – yep, there is even a no purchase necessary option for entry, visit www.familyfoods.ca for those details.
Imagine what a local non-profit could do with $10,000 that’s a lot of spayed
puppies, full stomachs or sports trips! Imagine what YOU could do with $10,000! There are also ten secondary prizes of $1000 at the Calgary draw. Hey, I’d be happy to win one of the five $100 prizes being drawn here in town. So, what are you waiting for, get down to F.P.Gorges and Sons to fill out your entry form. Remember, just one entry per day (throughout the contest), per household, is accepted and the ballot must be completed in its entirety with 3 UPC’s from participating brands attached and the skill testing question answered correctly.
Don’t think it could happen to you? Ask Irene Sheppard, she was sent packing October 27th, 2009, when awarded a $500 West Jet Gift Certificate from FP Gorges in a similar contest. Mark & Kelly Gorges, owners/operators of FP Gorges, wish everyone good luck in the contest and look forward to choosing the five lucky winners next month.
