Gotta love CFNO

I love seeing good people succeed! That’s just me, I like to be able to not just cheer on the good guy, at the end of the match, I want them to be getting the trophy; that’s why, at the 2009 Craft & Gift Show in December, I was so excited about a new business that was using the opportunity to launch their product – AWESOME FRESH HUGE EGG ROLLS of flavours you’ve never even considered but that once you taste ’em, you can never forget.

Wayne  Jarvis & Peggy Harrop are working like crazy to get the word out about their new endeavour (see ad here at the top right among many, many other things they are doing) and were clever enough to stop by CFNO when they were in Marathon on Friday with a few samples of their tasty treats (treats isn’t quite the right word as it makes them sound like a little snack when, asside from being a kicking appetizer, these could be a meal on their own at lunch, especially if you’re choosing among the flavours that have meats AND veggies). Well, Al was done his air time by then but apparently he shared them with Kristy[Bouchard] who, of course, LOVED them and wasn’t shy about talking it up – Gotta love CFNO, it’s just such a part of life on the Northshore!  Well, I can’t say I was very surprised to hear this, like I said, this pair of entrepreneurs are working very hard to self-promote and I’m just happy to hear their efforts are bearing fruit (maybe that’ll mean there’ll be a dessert egg roll down the line?lol).  So,

CONGRATULATIONS, to Wayne & Peggy for another creative {and more importantly, SUCCESSFUL!} marketing idea!!

I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

I do happen to know you can  watch for them in a  new Emeraude Exploring field trip as WE will be visiting Wok’nRolls soon  and I will of course share all the details here!

… if you have a business, it is worth mentioning that  Wayne & Peggy were among the 40 or so individuals who attended a business breakfast recently from which I think they may have gained some of their marketing inspiration.   Stephanie Ash who spoke to businesses here in Manitouwadge this fall [thanks to Community Economic Development Commission and  Thunder Bay and District Entrepreneur Centre, and of course the hosts, our own township’s economic devolpment department  (Dave Raymond & Karen Robinson) read about that at www.karinahunter.com/?p=7192 to learn about some of the topics she discussed] about “Marketing on a Shoestring Budget” offered alot of great information to those in attendance(much of  what I suggest to clients and also some new ideas). I’m adding this because there will be another business breakfast for the Manitouwadge Business Association this month (will post when date is confirmed) and I hope that those who attended the first, plus many new businesses, will be in attendance. There is much to gain (in addition to the obvious networking) from these sessions which the economic development department hosts but only if there is participation.  I’m happy to share the information Stephanie covered as well as many other marketing suggestions which Hunter Photography can assist you with but don’t just take my word for it, when you pick up your next order from Wok ‘n Rolls, ask Wayne or Peggy about what they took away from this information session!
