Nite on the Town presents…
Manitouwadge NOTES Welcomes Broadway
by Karina Hunter
January 24th, Manitouwadge Nite on the Town Entertainment Series of the Arts (NOTES) is proud to present a show unlike any other they have ever brought to our community. He Sang, She Sang has received critical acclaim as “A wonderfully quirky and charming, cabaret-style concert that takes a hilarious look at modern relationships”. . Created by Adam Brazier the show is performed by a cast of two, Brazier and actor Melissa Thomson-Hicks, marking the first time Brazier appears in his own show, one he wrote and developed.
The duo perform over 50 songs from some of Broadway’s best loved shows, including Crazy For You, The Full Monty, City Of Angels, Little Shop of Horrors, West Side Story and many others. He Sang She Sang explores divorce, separation, the loss of a partner through both the feeling of being alone and of having to start over again by adding a good dose of comic relief to keep it entertaining. NOTES organizer, Natalie Labbée, hopes that this will be the show to bring back the audience numbers the series needs to continue offering Manitouwadge and area residents first class performances which are the arts group’s trademark. “We are lucky to have provincial and federal government support subsidizing the tickets, this is why they are half the price paid at southern venues” said Labbée.
If you have yet to pick up your ticket, you can do so at The Echo, the Cow
