I had only told Emeraude we had a 'special appointment' planned while in Thunder Bay so when we arrived and she learned of my secret she was thrilled!

The Thunder Bay Community Auditorium was buzzing with excitement last week as children and parents waited in anticipation for the Backyardigans to take the stage.  Backyardigans Sea Deep Adventure was full of colourful costumes, amazing song and dance numbers from many different styles including psychedelic soul, Bollywood, bossa nova, and more offered something for any taste. The backdrop, a digital scene across three huge screens was almost a character of its own.

Emeraude has trouble keeping her eyes off the stage (which is not active yet) long enough to show off the sticker kit she bought (her own $ so she chose what to get),

My 4 year old absolutely loved the show from beginning to end getting up to dance along on more than one occasion; as for myself, well, I must admit that I didn’t turn away once. I would definitely recommend the show to anyone with kids under 10 – it had something for everyone and even a few life lessons along the way.

If you are traveling to Thunder Bay, check with the auditorium for performances that might coincide with your trip, this fall they have numerous performances including country superstar like Loretta Lynn, Downchild Blues Band, children’s author Robert Munch, Collective Soul and many, many others.
