Shopping downtown, you have probably, at one time or another, noticed seasonal posters hanging both in-store and in the windows at F.P. Gorges & Sons (also known as “Frank’s”), inviting you to enter your name for a chance to win big.  The prizes being advertised this September for the Fall Edition of their Family’s Choice giveaway are incredible!  The grand prize choices seem custom made for Manitouwadge residents as the winner, to be drawn November 4^th in Calgary Alberta, will choose between; His & Hers Artic Cat ATV’s (2009 550 H1EFi LE ATV and 2009 700 LE ATV) with a Trailer to haul them, $25,000 Cash or a Hawaiian Family Vacation with Uniglobe Travel worth up to $30,000, something most of us will be dreaming of as temperatures drop and digging your way out of the driveway before heading out to work or play becomes a necessity. Odds of winning the Grand Prize will of course depend entirely on how many eligible people enter at the numerous participating Family Foods locations. The good news, October 27^th each of these locations including F.P. Gorges & Sons had their own draw for a $500 West Jet Gift Certificate.

The odds of winning at these earlier draws were obviously much better especially in small towns like Manitouwadge. One entry per day (throughout the contest) is accepted for each of those who filled a ballot in its entirety, attached 3 UPC’s from participating brands and answered the skill testing question correctly.  Becky and Jenny Gorges supervised as the 4^th generation at F.P. local draw was included in the contest, was excited to have won; she hopes to use the voucher to fly west as her family is planning a reunion in the coming year. Owner Kelly Gorges was obviously sincere in her enthusiasm about the prize as she thanked Shepherd for her continued patronage wishing her safe and fun travels.

Next time you see posters going up at Frank’s, remember to add your name to a ballot while you are shopping and perhaps you could be the next lucky resident to be sent packing!
