White Lake Fun
White Lake is awesome, no surprise, it seems to get better every year. This morning (Sunday) Lloyd & I, with the help of his friend Brady put up a tarp above the front door of the camper. Preventative measures that we might have a place to take off boots and gear when it’s raining, also to give Silver a shelter from sun or rain, whichever might be the case. It took us almost 2hrs (thought it doesn’t show lol) as there aren’t alot of trees on our lot to tie off to. Something I thought I would always remember to bear in mind when choosing a campsite but, obviously, did not. I chose our campsite on line this year, knowing that it was a good location as it is directly in front of last year’s site but not thinking at all about tie-off-trees…
Afterwards, the boys put up the eating tent then Lloyd, Emeraude & I had lunch. I LOVE CAMPING! Lloyd went out on his skateboard for the afternoon (Brady is a skateboarder too) while Emeraude and I headed to the beach. Emeraude met a friend from last year (her Mom remembered us) and though they didn’t play a whole lot together, she did have a ton of fun. I burried her, at her request, a couple of times and she played around in the water as well. It was a really nice afternoon.
We got back to our campground and I made supper as Lloyd read and Emeraude coloured at the table. It is nice to be in closed quarters when vacationing, gives us a chance to really catch up on each other’s news and I love hearing about Lloyd’s skateboarding adventures.
Emeraude had a bath in the big sink in the laundry room at the comfort station. She loved it, this is a favourite memory of hers from years past. They also have showers there but I find for little ones who are grimy and full of beach sand the big sinks work much better, it is at just the right height for me and people rarely come in so is quite private. Can’t wait to go back to the beach, we have Emeraude’s dentist appointment this week that I am not looking forward but we have prayed on it as a family so I am confident that it will go well.
Take care, travel safe on your summer adventures. K.
