Gardening progress… Peas!

The above photo is of a tree that was here when we moved in. It was, at that time, well above the eavestrough on the front of the house but had sick branches and was out of control so one fall I “trimmed” it back. I had just bought new hedge cutters and must admit that I got a little carried away. It does look beautiful in the summer however and seemed to take the attack (I don’t know what else to call it for when I had finished the tree was at least 1/2 the size it had been when I started “trimmin” lol) well as it is now much more lush and has the beautiful flowers Emeraude is holding in this photo all over it, most of the summer.

Another look at one of the pea pods.

Our outdoor veggies seem to have transplanted well, no major losses and the Zinnias have huge stems that look more like small tree branches, just amazing!

Pea pod - yum yum!

Meanwhile, our indoor plants continue to grow, I had hoped to have them transplanted by now but have been mostly stuck in bed this week, too much pain and the doctor continues his refusal to either titrate my dose or order it as a prescription.

One of the perrenials we planted last year from Frank's. It only had one bloom last year but seems to have matured since then as there are a few more this year and it has come up quite a bit taller.

ANYHOW, our garden. We found two little pea pods had grown late last week and Emeraude could not wait anylonger, this week she decided they were big enough so we opened the pods. Each had only one little pea but wow! they were delicious. Our carrots are also progressing very well, the base of one is as big as my pinky finger and so I hope to transplant very soon!

I think I have mentioned this in a previous post but just in case… We found mushrooms in our window box in which we are growing tomatoes and radishes.
