Fishing @ the dock
I am so lucky to have kids that don’t have to be pressured into having fun outdoors, it comes to them naturally. Lloyd has always enjoyed fishing and in fact is the one who has re-taught me as an adult, how to put a worm on a hook and handle minnows, and which lures are best for perch, trout or pickerel for example.
This day, Emeraude had seen her father at lunch and he had offered to bring her fishing. Unfortunately, when she called he was already out on the golf course. SO… I closed up the article I was working on and aksed Lloyd to help her pack up the van (rod, tackle, life jacket, etc.) she was bummed that her father wouldn’t be there but very happy to be going.
We had a great time. Not certain if we had a few bites or if these were snags on weeds but it didn’t much matter. There weren’t any flies (apparently a sign that they wouldn’t be biting) which was nice. We fished, played in puddles, talked about what might be living in the weeds, it was just a really nice day.
