Living with MS – june 1

just a quick note… I had the chance to be reminded today why I had been enthused about my family doc when first meeting him in nov.08.

Apparently he has found a pain specialist that he thinks will be very useful in finding options for me. I can not say I am confident but his entusiasm was great. He seemed so genuinely thrilled at the idea of progress that I was very touched.

So, apparently we are hoping for a telehealth conference within the next week or week and a half (I hope he is not being overly optimistic) and then I will have more to say about it. I have an appointment with him (family doc) Thursday after this one which was quite accomodating (and appreciated) as I had to cancel today’s appointment without more than a couple hours notice. I was relieved that he seemed to understand that sometimes I have to make a call and know my symptoms well enough to see when something will be too much.

Saying plenty of prayers but trying not to get too hopeful (I can’t handle any more disapointments in regards to White Lake, I haven’t even booked our site yet as I can’t afford to loose a deposit for nothing… Unfortunately that might mean we can’t get one for any real length of time – it’s becoming more disheartening every day so really hoping this new specialist and whatever he might be intended to do pans out)
