Bowling fun “just the girls”
Saturday, June 6th, after attending the OPP‘s Bike Rodeo (part of turn off the screens week) Emeraude asked to go to the Cow Palace and redeem a coupon she had recieved at the Rodeo for a free Mr.Freeze (all the kids received them for redemption at either the Cow or the Petro for wearing helmets… They are also distributed randomly to kids caught wearing helmets while riding in town). Jim St.Pierre, owner of the Cow, was working and trying to enjoy some fries which I couldn’t resist picking at, they were delicious and so I inquired as to where he had purchased them – Nelson’s bowling alley & laudromat. I thought for a few minutes and decided that Lloyd would probably enjoy having the house to himself for a while (it was Saturday and he had chores he was catching up on); also, I was in alot of pain but still 2hrs from my next injection at MGH(my doctor does NOT encourage me to be physically active though it could benefit me very much in regards to fatigue & general health. I am currently being told that I am at the ‘maximum dose he is comfortable ordering’ regardless of wether it is adequate or not and it is mostly NOT. IF I recieve my injections EVERY 4 hours without delay + IF the weather is neither too hot nor too cold + IF I am having a day without unexpected anything + IF I do NO physical activity = then the dose is adequate, otherwise it is not and so I decline physical activity of almost any kind although I love going for walks with my kids and doing all sorts of things though I have not in many months for fear that the pain will be more than I can bear as it often becomes in the last month or two) ANYWAYS, I thought immediately that the bowling alley might be a good option, offering me somewhere that would be fun for Emeraude without much walking involved (it’s a small establishment + there aren’t alot of Km in bowling) and being a computerized alley, there wouldn’ tbe much thinking involved which can also be exhausting….
must go to hospital, hope to elaborate on this later. If not, let me just say it was AWESOME, a wonderful time with my girl AND 3 days later, Emeraude told me it was her favourite part of the weekend, which I must add was full of pretty cool activities so that her praise is quite high 🙂 can’t wait to bring her again and maybe Lloyd would come as well.
