We’re back…
We’re back. Our trip to Thunder Bay went well, Vickie was a great help and the kids were awesome travelers as per their usual. The hospitals weren’t too much trouble (thankfully, I wouldn’t have planned a trip while I am receiving injections for pain as this could have been a problem. Doctors can have issue with ordering narcotics injections for patients they are not familiar with but I was pretty lucky in that not only did I not have problems but also received some comments/suggestions that could prove to be very useful…) Read THIS POST for medically related details of the trip.
We left Monday afternoon and arrived late that evening; I think it must have been around 22h30. I had reserved my room at the Landmark and although the details had been confused a little, it was fairly quick. Vickie took the van with her, she had made plans to stay at her best friend’s house while we were there, as I was too tired to be driving.
Tuesday morning, Lloyd brought Lil ‘sis to the pool where they had a lot of fun (I was off @ my appointment) she impressed him going under water 1st accidentally when they used the slide together and then on purpose, plugging her nose. I think she will probably be swimming before this summer is through which will be a ton of fun. I returned from my appointment not long after lunch to find Vickie treating the kids to lunch from Jack Pepper’s (restaurant in the hotel) which of course was a really nice surprise. Lloyd & I had appointments with Rafeal, Lloyd’s regular hairdresser @ Trenz Salon. This could’ve become really complicated but again, Vickie saved the day as we all drove to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre but then when it was clear we would not make it out in time for our appointments, she drove Lloyd there and came back for myself & Emeraude…
Must get some chores done… more later
