Exploring the world around us
While in Thunder Bay I had to visit the emergency department of their hospital several times for pain injections to help me manage the bone pain I have been feeling in my legs, feet, hands and arms as symptoms of multiple sclerosis. Lucky for me, the children & Vickie chose to accompany me on several of these visits, making them less mundane and making the wait seem quite a bit shorter thanks to their company.
Outside the Thunder Bay & Region Health Science Centre, Emeraude spots a newspaper dispenser and decides she’d like a copy. It took a little figuring out but we did.
She was SO proud to have her own copy which she called “a newspaper for my very self” that she announced she’d intended to keep forever. It was absolutely priceless. Children really do have a way of making everything better and the smallest, most ordinary things in every day life more interesting.
