Manitouwadge Nursery School – Homework

A couple weeks ago, Emeraude brought home a ‘dinosaur egg’ she had made at Nursery School (Her teacher,  Nickie is wonderful. Obviously called to hr work and constantly finding great, creative, imaginative crafts to do with the kids). The egg had instructions to ‘let dry for 5 days before smashing with a hammer, wearing safety glasses’. After 6 days, we realized the bottom had not dried (I had not thought of flipping it) and so turned it over and waited another week.

Last night, before going out to walk the dog, Lloyd got safety glasses for himself & his sister, grabbed my camera and offered to Emeraude that they go to the basement (cement floor) and smash open her egg.  He hoped to get a photo of the egg intact but Emeraude was too fast and had already taken a swing when he put the camera to his eye lol. Here is Lloyd’s photographic play-by-play of Emeraude’s dinosaur egg smash…

Lining it up. I can't imagine how nervous Lloyd must have been watching her hold the egg ready to hammer lol
