Boat launch

9815-26_04_2009

Emeraude & Daddy made boats out of craft supplies and recycled materials. The boat with pontoons and a sail was their group effort (very nice) and the other small one Emeraude imagined and built all on her own.

We had a lot of fun playing at the lion’s beach after we were done with our boats. Emeraude is growing so fast, it is amazing to watch how adept she has become on all the equipment.9801-26_04_2009

The 1st took water in the tubes when they set it to sail and they discussed possibly plugging the ends, I am not sure if they are going to adapt it and try again (I hope so). Hers floated well but the white glue wasn’t dry and so did not hold very well. She was very dissapointed when it came apart and Daniel and I had to give a lot of ‘pep talk’ explaining that things like this can take much trial and effort. By the end of our launch however she was feeling better and decided that it wasn’t so bad and would be worth launching again when the glue will have set, can’t wait for that as I am looking forward to her reaction when it succeeds.

I am so happy for Emeraude that Daddy is finally taking advantage of his time off work for them to spend time together. She slept over at his place Saturday and Sunday night and I wouldn’t be surprised if she decides to stay again tonight… They seem to be having a really nice time :). I am taking advantage to get as much work done as possible. Our manuscript is printed and I am committed to getting everything completed for mailing by the end of the day (still having a really hard time with the cover letter). I did the pricing info for the soccer photos this morning and have the sheets ready for the coaches packages (leisure services lady is out until wed though so that can’t go any further for now).

9811-26_04_2009Tomorrow I have an appointment with my family doctor. I am hoping he will have some ideas about possible treatment elsewhere as Daniel is off and Emeraude could stay with him if I can travel for treatment… Still dealing with a lot of pain, didn’t bother to go in for an injection this morning though, without Emeraude here I was able to stick to work that I could do from my bed… Until now, I do have running around to do, need to go speak with the EDC as well and so I will need to be able to walk and get around, hopefully it won’t be a big deal to get pain meds, also need to remember to get some bloodwork done while I’m there.
