progress 03.31.09
Another day hospital free 🙂 and still feeling fairly good (a little tired but none of the fatigue I dealt with before the solumedrol treatment. Still working at controling my appetite and I do feel like I may be making some ground (very minimal but some).
I delivered the letter requesting a tour to the post office today and am hopeful that the post master will do what she can to expidite the permission process. Tonight I will write another letter of request, this one is for a female family practitioner here in town (out of the Manitouwadge Medical Clinic), I am hoping she will be quite willing as she knows Emeraude well (our daughters skate together) and seems pretty friendly and personable (plus I think she will understand the idea of empowering girls at a very young age which I hope to promote with the Emeraude Exploring collection.
Lloyd is home!!! WOOHOOO! His tournament in Wawa seemed to go well. He & Matt did not qualify for NSSSAA but had a good day (in spite of Lloyd being quite sick and Matthew hurting his knee) and are looking forward to more practice and better results in the future – GREAT attitude! I’m so proud of him and the kind of sportsman he generally is.
Emeraude’s skating practice went very well. I was more than just a little dissapointed at the costumes they have for their carnival (especially at $45/2 costumes!!! and this is to rent – good have bought better quality nicer pieces for that price) on the weekend. They are poorly sewn, cheap fabric, ill fitting (the ones that even fit) and it seems like none of the parents are bothered by this. I am just really dissapointed for Emeraude as this should’ve been part of the ‘figure skating experience’ in my opinion. I don’t even know what I will dress her in for the photos I am doing on Saturday… *sigh*
Wondering how ppl feel about the new look of the blog. The transformation will continue for a few days as I try to get it looking more like I imagine it but hopefully will be able to call it ‘done’ before the week’s end.
