IMPROVED ACCESS TO GOVERNMENT SERVICES IN MARATHON & TERRACE BAY
McGuinty Government Opens Integrated ServiceOntario Centres April 19, 2010 – Residents of Marathon and Terrace Bay are getting newly integrated ServiceOntario centres and can access health card and driver and vehicle services in one visit.
Health card services are now available at the ServiceOntario centre at 52 Peninsula Road in Marathon. Driver and vehicle registration services are already available at this location.
Starting April 20, health card services will also be added to existing driver and vehicle services at the ServiceOntario centre at 1004 Hwy 17 in Terrace Bay. Driver and vehicle registration services will be added in the fall.
These changes will give people access to more routine government services and better meet customer needs.
QUICK FACTS
ServiceOntario is making it easier for people to get the government services they need by making changes to its service delivery network.
Services are expanding at all 300 ServiceOntario centres across the province. Centres will offer integrated health card and driver and vehicle registration services under one roof.
By the end of this year, nearly 95 per cent of all Ontarians will soon be within 10 kilometres of an integrated ServiceOntario centre.
