Manitouwadge Hotel Opening Under New Ownership After 6yrs Closed

Mr. Chhagan Mistry may just be one of the most popular people in Manitouwadge this month as his opening of the Select Inn represents the end of a difficult period in the community during which there have been only Bed & Breakfasts or Vacation Homes available as accommodations. Though the local B&Bs and Vacation Homes in Manitouwadge offer great services this style of accommodation isn't for everyone (or every situation) and could not completely replace having an operational hotel in the community.
MANITOUWADGE, ON – August 2013 will be a very significant month for the tourism industry and local economy in Manitouwadge (among other sectors) as the Select Inn Hotel officially opens later this month (originally scheduled for August1st some minor technical issues have led to a re-scheduling of the official opening – keep watching OntarioNewsNorth.com to be informed regarding the opening date as soon as it is determined).
Chhagan Mistry, a hotelier from Iron Bridge (Village Inn Motel) has purchased what was once 1/2 of the Manitouwadge Motor Hotel and after months of planning, renovations and hard work the Select Inn hotel on Manitou Road (extension of Highway 614 into the community) officially opens tomorrow (Aug.1,2013)
Once a 27 room hotel (operated, by previous owners, from across the street with no receptionist or other staff in the building even part time) the Select Inn will now have 24 rooms and many modern upgrades including a fitness room, continental breakfast lounge, conference room, front lobby/business centre which includes a computer with internet access for guests and fully equipped, newly renovated rooms including 2 suites with kitchenettes. Outside where a quaint gazebo newly renovated and enlarged with more seating offers a relaxing place for guests to unwind or enjoy their morning coffee or evening tea. The Select Inn will also have Mr. Mistry (or another senior staff member) living in the hotel ensuring guests thouroughly enjoy their stay and receive great service!
