RED ROCK, ON – The Superior North Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA) unit in conjunction with the Superior North Catholic District School Board organized a Promethean Board training session for teachers at St. Hilary Catholic School. The event was held on Saturday May 14th and was attended by twenty teachers from across the Board.
The presenters were Claire Laughlin from OECTA Provincial and Shelly Crone from the York Catholic School Board. Teachers used their school board laptops for hands on training on Promethean Board software. They also had the opportunity to use the Promethean board in the classroom. Teachers explored the software features and used and created meaningful activities to engage the 21st century learners in their classrooms.
