About the Speaker-Geoff Malleck:

Geoff is a highly regarded and very popular lecturer in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Waterloo.  His unique course, principles of entrepreneurship, serves to inspire and promote creativity.  Geoff also holds three directorships for programs and specializations in the Arts and Business program, and acts as the current chair for the Arts Faculty Council. 

Geoff is also associated the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development, in the Faculty of Environment, as well as providing instruction in ‘Green Entrepreneurship’ and ‘Entrepreneurship and Economic Development’ in the same faculty. 

Geoff has recently been appointed as an associate director in the Economic Development program offered by Waterloo.  As a workshop host in the Economic Development program with the Economic Development Association of Canada (EDAC), Geoff works with Economic Development professionals to help them understand that developing policies to promote an entrepreneurial culture is fundamental to a region’s prosperity.

Geoff applies his passion, knowledge, and vast private sector experience by supporting young entrepreneurs and family businesses.  Currently, he is actively working with eleven start ups and sits on the board of a diverse set of charitable and private sector firms.
