How many lbs of clothes is 286 bags? Nothing MPS Students can’t handle!
MANITOUWADGE PUBLIC SCHOOL NEWS
MANITOUWADGE, ON – WOW Again!! For some time now our school has been very pleased to be the drop off point for the Diabetes Clothesline. Our grade 8 students came out with their usual enthusiasm to help load 286 bags and boxes onto the truck!! We know the enthusiasm had nothing to do with being away from ‘those dreaded textbooks! Here we see only a small portion of the bags as the students created an assembly line to the truck. After loading the truck in record time, they posed for this picture and not once did they complain about being kept from the classroom for too long!! This little act of kindness is just one of the many humanitarian aspects of our students and staff at MPS. Thank you so much to everyone in town who have been so diligent in donating these items for such a worthy cause as the Diabetes Association who will receive money from the local Value Village for these used items. MPS is pleased to be able to be a part of one more step towards a cure for diabetes.
