SCHREIBER, ON – The staff, students, and family members of Holy Angels Catholic School celebrated Shrove Tuesday with a school wide pancake breakfast followed by a special presentation of homemade bannock. Special thanks go out to the breakfast volunteers, Frank and Linda Trichilo, Anna Figliomeni, Delynne Webster, Barb Bell, Breakfast Club organizer Brenda Figliomeni and SNCDSB Trustee Lawrence McParland. As well, a big thanks to Val Auger and Linda Goodchild who spent the morning preparing bannock. The children were able to enjoy the bannock while listening to Val and Linda share the traditions and customs of bannock within the Aboriginal culture.
